Kids of Zion
We meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for prayer, lessons, and creative activities.
A
primary purpose for the existence of KOZ is to build a “family”
relationship within the larger church community. As such, we use the
one-room-schoolhouse model, and accommodate all age groups.
We
apply what we learn about responsibility through Bible study by
involvement in such things as fundraising for the Community Food
Pantry, which makes its home at Zion, and by planting and tending the
church flower garden.
We learn about the symbols and rituals of the Episcopal Church, its identity and its value in the wider Christian Community.
We
study the use of religious language - parable, sacred story, silence,
and liturgical action to help us become more fully aware of the mystery
of God's presence in our lives.
